JAKARTA - American Muslim leaders have said they will expand the campaign that launched earlier this month against President Joe Biden over its handling of the conflict in Gaza.
The leaders intend to guarantee Biden's defeat in the upcoming 2024 elections due to his refusal to call for a ceasefire in Gaza, where Israeli attacks have killed more than 21 thousand people.

Saturday's plan to actively campaign against Biden across 50 US states was announced in Chicago, Illinois at the end of a national convention organized by the American Muslim Society (MAS) and the Northern American Islamic Circle (ICNA).
The #AbandonBiden campaign was first launched by Muslim leaders from Michigan, Minnesota, Arizona, Wisconsin, Florida, Georgia, Nevada and Pennsylvania.
Minnesota's American-Islamic Relations Council (CAIR) representative, Jaylani Hussein, said the organization demanded Biden be "sensitive and consistent" about Gaza.
In an interview with Anadolu this month, Edward Ahmed Mitchell, CAIR's deputy executive director, said there was "deep disappointment" among American Muslims over Biden's policy against Israel and Palestine, especially the massacre that took place in Gaza.
