Satpol PP From Various Regions In Jakarta Kena BKO Jaga At Thamrin-Sudirman On New Year's Eve 2024

JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Satpol PP will deploy hundreds of personnel on security for the New Year's Eve 2023 - 2024 which falls on Sunday, December 31, evening.

East Jakarta Satpol PP Head Budhy Novian said the hundreds of personnel would later be deployed at several priority points for security. Not only Satpol PP, later TNI, Polri, POM AU, POM AD, East Jakarta Metro Police, and Garnisun officers were also on guard.

"For East Jakarta, we have deployed 652 personnel. It is spread at several points, especially for five priority points," Budhy said when confirmed, Friday, December 29.

The first point, he continued, was that his party would be on guard to assist in securing the Mudi Young Night celebration at Thamrin-Sudirman. Before carrying out security, the joint officers will first hold an apple at Monas.

"We received directions under Operational Control (BKO) to help secure the Mudi Young Night at Thamrin-Sudirman. Later, the rally will be held at Monas, that's the first point," he said.

Then security is carried out at the East Flood Canal (KBT) which will be guarded by dozens of East Jakarta Satpol PP personnel. Guards will also be carried out on several highway access around KBT.

"We have deployed 70 KBT areas. The priority points, which should not be disturbed, are at the access point to the Duren Sawit Hospital (RS), the Revolutionary Heroes Road bridge which is public access, then at the Cipinang Indah bridge and several other points on Raden Inten Street, and at the floodgate park," he said.

Budhy further said that the Old Shanghai Sedayu City entertainment venue in Cakung District will also be guarded by 40 personnel. Later security at that location will continue to coordinate with the Police.

"But because there was no significant event, we coordinated with the police to help because there was a crowd there," he said.

Not only that, security is also carried out in the fish market area and animal market near Jatinegara Station and 40 personnel will be deployed.

"The fifth is in the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) area because there is no direct security request, we only help run smoothly. Starting from TL Garuda Tamini Square to door 4 TMII," he said.

There are also intersections of the Cililitan Wholesale Center (PGC), guarded and controlled traffic flow.

"Other places at the PGC intersection. There is also a fish market, controlled so that there is no traffic jams. Then there are several churches that are still guarded by the PAM Post. There is the Rawamangun HKBP Church, the Santo Antonius Otista Church, and the Santa Anna Pondok Bambu Church," he said.

Budhy added, apart from officers who receive BKO for security, they will continue to maintain security at priority sub-district points for crowds.

"In addition to BKO for security, there are also those at 10 sub-district points where priority crowds are anticipated by the remaining members. There are still standby. Pulogadung area around Arion, for example. Everything is guarded," he said. (Rizky Sulistio)
