Sandiaga: Ganjar Is Jokowi's 2024 Version

JAKARTA - United Development Party (PPP) politician Sandiaga Uno said presidential candidate number 3, supported by his party, Ganjar Pranowo, is a figure who has a similarity in how he works with Joko Widodo.

The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy said Ganjar Pranowo was Jokowi's version in 2024.

"Pak Ganjar is the leader who is the most similar to Pak Jokowi, in terms of an approach that is very close to the people, blusukan, satat set, quickly moved. I call it (if) Jokowi 3.0, (then) Pak Ganjar is the 2024 version of Pak Jokowi," said Sandiaga Uno at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, December 7.

Regarding the location of Ganjar's campaign, which was several times the same as the location of President Jokowi's working visit, Sandiagame assessed that this was a coincidence and actually a blessing.

"This is what the team should take a moment, because the wider community still wants to accelerate development," said Sandiaga.

Sandiaga also believes that the development direction that has been carried out by the Joko Widodo government, both in the first and second periods, improves welfare, creates jobs, and maintains prices for basic necessities.

"The improvement in the correction is how the priority of a clean government and a corruption-free government will be of concern as well," he explained.

Ganjar Pranowo previously conducted a campaign in Papua and in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. Not long after Ganjar visited the two provinces, Jokowi also followed a working visit to the two regions.

Sandiaga said this showed Ganjar's attention to the two regions, which also caught Jokowi's attention.
