Presidential candidate (candidate) number 1, Anies Baswedan promised to reduce the price of basic commodities if he won the 2024 presidential election.

"Currently, the price of basic necessities is expensive, the price of fertilizer is expensive, the cost of education is expensive, if you want change, then give me the authority to do it," said Anies in front of thousands of volunteers and sympathizers while campaigning in Banjarmasin City, Tuesday, December 5, which was confiscated by Antara.

According to him, it takes an absolute struggle and authority to realize all of that, and any amount of demonstration will not be able to make a change.

He gave an example of his success while serving as Governor of DKI Jakarta, because he had the authority at that time, he closed one of the city's largest prostitution sites.

In fact, Anies continued, he only used his authority through a piece of paper and signature to permanently close the place of prostitution.

Therefore, he asked for the support of the people of South Kalimantan to realize changes in a better direction in Indonesia.

One of the basic needs highlighted by Anies is the high price of rice.

For him, if the price of rice is cheap, it will certainly improve household welfare.

According to him, if the price of basic necessities such as rice is given at a low price, the public can use the remaining money for other urgent household needs.
