Monday Morning, Missing Boy Dragged By Kalimalang River Current, Officers Conduct Search

JAKARTA - A boy was reported missing and drowned in the flow of the Kalimalang River, Cipinang Melayu Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta on Monday, December 4, morning.

Residents reported to the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. at around 07.50 WIB. The report relates to the request for a search for victims in the Kalimalang river.

"After receiving the report, we deployed 5 rescue personnel with 1 rubber boat. The team arrived at the location at around 07.59 WIB and immediately conducted a search," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Gatot Sulaeman when confirmed, Monday, December 4.

However, until this news was written, the identity of the victim was not yet known because a search was still being carried out. The cause of the missing victim being swept away by the current is also unknown. Officers are still focused on searching for victims.
