There Are Still Those Who Doubt That They Will Fall Into Politics, OSO: Chinese People Should No Longer Be Afraid

PONTIANAK - Chairman of the Hanura Party, Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO), invites the Chinese people not to hesitate to enter politics to play a role in building the nation and state.

"Now you can't be afraid anymore. If you used to have doubts, now you don't, they are already brave because they feel responsible for this country too," said Oesman Sapta in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, this Saturday.

OSO also invites all levels of society to actively support the Chinese community who are interested in entering politics. According to him, the Chinese community has a big role in building the country

"So we must support them, we give them the opportunity when they show off to provide input that can strengthen this nation. Now it is our job to invite them," he said.

Furthermore, Oesman also said that the Chinese people had a fairly large portion of votes in the election, which was around 15 percent.

"It's huge, they're not as big as the others, they have 15 percent but don't forget, they have employees, they have workers, it can reach up to 40 percent," said Oesman.

OSO also said that Chinese voters are rational voters and can be influenced. The Chinese community will vote on a figure believed to be the best figure to lead the nation and state.

"Those who say that, they cannot be bought. They are his sincerity, they also decided on his decision," he concluded, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, November 25.
