JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo held a bilateral meeting with Premier Niue Dalton Emani Makamau Tagelolagi at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), Badung, Bali, Wednesday, on the sidelines of the Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) Forum Summit.
In his introductory remarks, President Jokowi expressed his gratitude for the presence of Premier Tagelgi at the AIS Forum Summit and appreciated Niue's presence and support at the Indonesia-Pacific Forum for Development.
"I note that His Majesty was present and supported Indonesia in December '22 at the Indonesia-Pacific Forum for Development. The Forum is to strengthen economic cooperation and development partnerships in the Pacific region," said President Jokowi in a written statement reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 11.
Meanwhile Premier Tagelagi admitted that he was very happy to be in Indonesia to attend the AIS Forum Summit.
Premier Tagelag is also impressed by Indonesia's diversity, as well as President Jokowi's leadership which is considered successful in uniting island and archipelago countries to resolve common challenges.
