Removed By The Minister Of Home Affairs, Acting Mayor Of Cimahi Will Return To The Regional Secretary

Acting (Pj) Mayor of Cimahi Dikdik Suratno Nugrahawan said he would return to office as Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Cimahi City, after his post as acting mayor was not extended by the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian.

"I am definitively the position of the Regional Secretary of Cimahi City, when it is not continued in capacity as acting mayor, of course I will return to this definitive position (sekda)," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 10.

Dikdik admitted that until now he has not received a decree (SK) from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) regarding not extending his term as mayor.

His term as Acting Mayor of Cimahi will end on October 22, 2023.

"Until today I have not received any notification letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs, but maybe in the next few days it can be accepted," he added.

Dikdik admitted that he accepted the decision and would continue to complete his work as Acting Mayor of Cimahi until the end of his term of office.

"Hopefully, I can complete this connection with what is the responsibility as the acting mayor at the end of his term of office," he said.

In addition, he guarantees that this will not affect the performance of the civil apparatus of the Cimahi City Government.

"So far it's been fine because once again, we as ASN certainly have to put forward is achievement, dedication of loyalty and not despicable," he said.

Although his current term of office has not been extended, Dikdik expressed his gratitude to the people of Cimahi City who have supported the program he has been running during his one year tenure.

"I thank the community, but rest assured that whatever has become the decision of this central government, hopefully it can bring goodness to all of us," said Dikdik.
