The Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Bangka Belitung Islands Province proposed 1,573 correctional inmates (WBP) to receive general remission or reduced sentences on the 78th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17, 2023.

He stated that the most proposed recipients of remission came from the Class IIA Pangkalpinang Narcotics Prison as many as 647 people, the Class IIB Sungailiat 319 prison, and the Class IIA Pangkalpinang 275 prison.
