JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) or AP II ensures the readiness of six airports to serve the departure of the 2023 Hajj pilgrims.

"The airport operation plan has been prepared for Hajj flights and serving pilgrims, coordination is carried out closely with all stakeholders. Six airports managed by AP II have been designated as Hajj embarrations by the government, namely Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Tangerang), Kualanamu Airport (Deli Serdang), Kertajati Airport (Majalengka), Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport (Aceh), Minangkabau Airport (Padang) and Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport (Palembang). "Hajj flights at Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport are scheduled to start May 24, 2023 at 07.45 WIB with 388 pilgrims. This inaugural 2023 Hajj flight is operated by Garuda Indonesia flight number GA 2101," said Darmadi.

At Kualanamu Airport (Deli Serdang) managed by PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi, Hajj flights are also scheduled to start on May 24, 2023.

Operations Director of PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi Heriyanto Wibowo said the departure of the inaugural flight of the 2023 hajj from Kualanamu Airport is scheduled for May 24, 2023 at 07.25 WIB.

"The flight was operated by Garuda Indonesia flight number GA 3101 with 355 pilgrims. We ask for prayers and support from the entire community so that the Hajj flight at Kualanamu Airport runs smoothly," said Heriyanto.

Then, the inaugural 2023 Hajj flight at Kertajati Airport (Majalengka) will be carried out on May 28, 2023.
