JAKARTA - The Tangerang Regency Government will conduct random checks to detect COVID-19 transmission in residents and tourists who come to its territory during the 2021 end of the holiday.

According to the spokesman for the Tangerang Regency COVID-19 Task Force, Hendra Tarmizi, in Tangerang, Tuesday, December 28, the district government has prepared 1,100 rapid antigen test kits for this purpose.

"Of the 44 monitoring posts that have been prepared, there are 11 posts that we provide rapid antigen test health services with, each providing 100 antigen test kits", he said as quoted by Antara.

He said that the district government still has a stock of around 80,000 antigen test kits that can be used if the stock of examination equipment at the command posts runs out.

According to him, until now antigen tests have been carried out randomly on 400 residents and the results are all negative, none of them has COVID-19.

He also explained that the district government with support from the TNI and Police was ready to carry out security and supervision to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 during the year-end holiday period.

In addition to carrying out inspections to detect transmission of COVID-19, he said, the district government is working with the TNI and Polri to provide vaccination services for residents who have not received an injection of the COVID-19 vaccine.

"The TNI-Police have also prepared vaccinator officers and vaccine booths at the monitoring post", he said.
