DENPASAR - Bali Governor, Wayan Koster, handed over rice assistance to Balinese people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This rice aid is transported by trucks to 9 districts and cities.

Governor Koster asked regents and mayors throughout Bali to immediately distribute this rice aid to the Balinese people by prioritizing the principle of accuracy. Koster expressed his appreciation to the Civil Servants of the Bali Provincial Government for showing empathy to the community through raising funds to buy rice which is a basic need for daily food.

In addition, Governor Koster again invited the Balinese people to continue to comply in an orderly manner with all policies taken by the Government in avoiding the transmission of COVID-19.

"I understand very well, the restrictions imposed are very burdensome and make it difficult for people to carry out their daily activities. It is a difficult policy, but it must be done so that all Balinese manners are protected from the transmission of the pandemic", said Koster.

Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary of Bali, Dewa Made Indra, said that the rice assistance to ease the burden on the community came from money or volunteers from Civil Servants in the Bali Provincial Government.

"Based on the spirit of cooperation and sincere sincerity to help people who are experiencing difficulties in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, and according to the direction of the Governor, the funds collected are distributed in the form of rice", continued Koster.
