Dozens Of Surakarta City Government Civil Servants Exposed To COVID-19

JAKARTA - The Surakarta City Government admits that from the beginning of the pandemic until now there have been hundreds of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) who have been exposed to COVID-19. Currently, there are still dozens of Solo City Government ASN who have been exposed to COVID-19.

"Services continue to run normally", said Chief Executive of the Surakarta City COVID-19 Task Force Daily, Ahyani, in Solo, quoted by Antara, Friday, July 16.

Based on the data, currently, the number of active cases among ASN is around tens of people. According to him, ASN who were exposed to this virus came from various ranks, ranging from echelon 3, 2, staff, to workers with work agreements (TKPK).

However, most of them were exposed to the corona not because of close contact with colleagues in the office, but due to activities from outside.

Ahyani said that not all ASN infected with COVID-19 followed centralized isolation considering that some were from outside the city.

"If you come from outside Solo, you don't have to do centralized isolation", he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Surakarta City Health Office (DKK) Siti Wahyuningsih also admitted that many health workers in a number of health care facilities in the City of Solo were exposed to COVID-19.

Recently, two public health centers (puskesmas) were forced to close temporarily because some health workers were exposed to COVID-19, so contact tracing had to be carried out.

"They are very vulnerable to exposure, especially since this public health center has a small scope, so interactions with one another cannot be avoided", he said.
