18 Terrorists Control Ports In Cirebon Hostage A Number Of Officials, TNI Koopssus Moves To Exempt

18 terrorist groups infiltrated the Cirebon area, West Java. They disguised themselves as traders and workers at the port. This dangerous group wants to take a number of officials who are visiting the location. Their mission was successful. The port area is tense, becoming the group's territory. The government is required to deposit the ransom and release their colleagues detained in several prisons so that the hostages can be released. The government does not remain silent. A total of 650 personnel of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) Special Operations Command (Koopssus) were deployed. The strategy was prepared, the rescue mission of hostages was carried out using 1 TNI AD Heli Bell Unit, 1 Navy Bell Heli Unit and 1 CN 295 Super Puma Heli Unit from the Indonesian Air Force. This is a scenario in the exercise of releasing hostages. There were three dimensions involved in the rescue team, namely the TNI Sat-81 Kopassus TNI AD, Denjaka TNI AL, and Satbravo 90 Kopasgat TNI AU. "The release was carried out using a free-fall system from CN-295 aircraft and fastrooping using the Indonesian Navy Bell helicopter and the Indonesian Air Force Superpuma helicopter, as well as Air Tep using 2 Bell Puma TNI AD helicopters," said TNI Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Bambang Ismawan in Cirebon, Antara, Friday, June 16. Bambang said that the exercise held in Cirebon was very important to provide this elite team. "With their abilities and high professionalism, the terrorists can be paralyzed and the prisoners can be released," said Bambang.

The exercise is carried out in two stages, namely the Command Post Training at the Mako Koopssus TNI Cilangkap for two days, namely the 8th to the 9th of June 2023 and field training at Cirebon Port for two days, namely June 15 to 16, 2023.
