PALU - The Central Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) said the alleged corruption case at the Tadulako University (Untad) Palu university has now risen to the investigation stage after collecting information.
"The administration is in the process of transferring to special crimes," said Head of Central Sulawesi Attorney General's Office Mohammad Ronald in Palu as reported by ANTARA, Monday, June 5.
He stated that the status of the case was increased after Central Sulawesi Attorney General's Office investigators conducted two case exposures with the head of the high prosecutor's office which was carried out on May 10 and May 24 regarding state losses of more than Rp. 1.7 billion in the Untad International Publication and Collaborative Center (IPCC) project.
"Twice, the case was exposed because it needed to be investigated again, and there were things that were considered lacking, so the previous people who gave the statement were called back," he explained.
Prosecutors have summoned 24 Untad officials and lecturers for questioning regarding the case, including two former Untad Chancellors namely Muhammad Basir Cyio rector 2015-2019 and Prof Mahfudz rector 2019-2023.
He said dozens of people were questioned regarding allegations of corruption in Untad which was reported by the Campus Care Group (KPK).
