JAKARTA - Junior High School (SMP) Class II students were dragged several meters on the asphalt while trying to defend their cellphones from two Jambret perpetrators, on Jalan Bambu Kuning, Pondok Rangon, East Jakarta. Although he managed to defend it, the victim suffered injuries all over his body.

The robbery incident was caught on CCTV belonging to residents at the scene. From the camera footage, it appears that two men riding in the alley using motorbikes. The two perpetrators seemed to be stalking the victim from behind.

At that time, victim AN and his friend were going out of the alley to buy food. Not long after, the perpetrator came and took the victim's cellphone. There was an attractive pull between the victim and the perpetrator until the victim was dragged away

Meanwhile, the perpetrator began to panic when the victim screamed. The perpetrator then fled leaving the victim.

According to Yulia, the victim's sister, when the incident occurred, her sister was about to buy food with her cousin. They play with their cellphones while walking to buy food.

"My brother wanted to buy Padang rice, at first he was alone with his cousin while playing cellphones on the road. His name was ABG's son playing cellphones on the road, there were two people going back and forth for three times back in the alley," Yulia told reporters, Monday, May 29.

Because he was suspicious of the perpetrator's movements, victim AN had wanted to put his cellphone in his bag. However, the two motorists who had stalked the victim immediately took the victim's cellphone.

"He wanted to put his cellphone in his pocket but it was quickly taken (the perpetrator), but Alhamdulillah the power (victim) was faster so that the cellphone was successfully secured. The cellphone was safe, but it was injured. The cellphone was not taken but the victim was dragged and injured," he said. According to CCTV information and footage, the two perpetrators were teenagers. "Children are responsible, there are two people. Haven't reported to the police yet," he said.
