Papua Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri said that to help potential legislative members in his three new autonomous regions (DOB), his party made it easier to manage police certificates (SKCK).
There are three police stations assigned to receive SKCK management. As a result, the legislative candidate no longer takes care of the Papua Regional Police but can manage it at three Polres that taste in the provincial capital.
"The three police officers who received the SKCK management were the Jayawijaya Police in Wamena for the Papua Mountains Province, the Merauke Police for South Papua and the Nabire Police for Central Papua," said Fakhiri in Merauke, Antara, Friday, May 12.
He explained that the policy was taken to help make it easier for residents who want to become members of the DPR, both cities and regencies, provinces and centers (RI).
"With the delegation of SKCK management, it is hoped that those who will run can easily take care of it," said Fakhiri.
When asked about the kamtibmas in the Papua Regional Police, the Papuan Police Chief admitted that currently the situation is relatively safe.
"Although it is relatively safe, there are still security disturbances in several areas, such as in Nduga, Yahukimo, Bintang Mountains, Puncak and Intan Jaya," said Papuan Police Chief Fakhiri.
