Malang City Resort Police (Polresta) stated that dozens of kiosks were affected by the fire at the Malang Plaza shopping center on Jalan Agus Salim, Klojen District, Malang City, East Java.

Malang City Police Chief Kombes Budi Hermanto explained that the dozens of kiosks were located on the first floor to the third floor of the shopping center, which is one of the centers selling cell phones.

"We have prepared a complaint post at the Malang City Government, in collaboration with the Malang City Police so that the public can report it," he said.

To find out the cause of the Malang Plaza fire, the Malang City Police will bring in a Labfor team from the East Java Regional Police (Polda). The team will research to find out the source of the fire, which is currently thought to have come from the third floor.

"The Labfor team will be brought in from the East Java Regional Police to check the source of the fire. For temporary information, the fire is thought to have originated from the third floor," he said.

Meanwhile, the Malang City Government will coordinate with shopping center managers or management to calculate the value of losses due to the fire incident.
