There Was A 41 Percent Surge, A Total Of 2.2 Million Trans Sumatra Toll Road Vehicles

JAKARTA - Hutama Karya recorded a significant increase in vehicle traffic with as much as more than 2.2 million vehicles having crossed the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) to D+4 Lebaran or Wednesday 26 April. "This figure is an increase of 41 percent when compared to the normal traffic volume (VLL)," said EVP of the Hutama Karya Toll Road Maintenance & Maintenance Division Dwi Aryono Bayuaji quoted by ANTARA, Thursday 27 April. Dwi Aryono said, specifically during the 2023 Eidbackflow there was a fairly high traffic spike in which on H+4 or Wednesday there were a total of 13,313 vehicles leaving Sumatra via the South Bakauheni Toll Gate on the Bakauheni - Terbanggi Besar Section which is the final exit of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road or an increase of 77.36 percent when compared to the normal VLL. Information related VLL in several other toll sections in the same period, namely the Bakauheni - Terbanggi Besar section as many as 61,854 vehicles, or 77 percent higher than the normal VLL. Then the Large Flyinggi - Panggang - Kayu Agung Toll Section as many as 24,376 vehicles, or higher as 88 percent of the normal VLL.
