JAKARTA - Sam Smith's concert at Summer In The City in Tel Aviv is no longer scheduled after festival organizers said the event's first day was canceled due to an "unexpected problem".

Smith is scheduled to appear in Israel for the first time on May 31, but the event certainly won't be held at all.

Ticket holders can still watch live music on June 1 featuring Robbie Williams and Martin Garrix.

"Due to unexpected technical and logistical issues on May 31, that night's concert (including Sam Smith) will not happen," in a statement shared via The Jerusalem Post, the organizer of the writing festival.

"The festival concert on June 1 will continue as planned. Those who buy tickets are welcome to contact the company where they buy tickets for full refunds.

People who buy tickets for both festival days who want to save tickets for the second day will be returned 25 percent of ticket prices or cancel them and get full refunds.

Papa Roach and Nuna were previously also scheduled to appear on the first day. So far, Smith has not commented on the cancellation.
