44 Films From 12 Countries Ready To Play At Bali International Film Festival 2023

JAKARTA The 2023 Bali International Film Festival (Balinale) has entered its 16th anniversary. The implementation this time took place on Thursday-Sunday, June 1-4, 2023. The 2023 Balinale took place at the Park23 Creative Hub Cinema XXI, Bali.

This year's festival will continue its traditions, featuring films of narrative features, documentarys and independent short films. Some of the films include award-winning films from around the world in various genres, styles, and languages.

A total of 44 film titles represent 12 countries, four of which are Premiere International films. There is also a list of films with achievements on the world festival stage, such as Clondike by Maryna Er Gorbach. Klondike won in Sundance and Berlinale, and became the film representative of Ukraine at the Oscar 2023. The crime drama by Philip Yung (Hong Kong), Where the Wind Blows.

Balinale has always been a platform choice for filmmakers who have just emerged, partnership support programs, cooperation and cross-border collaboration. Making Waves presents films such as: The Sparring Partner by director Ho Cheuk-Tin, The Sunny Side of the Street by director Lau Kok-rui, Cyber Heist by Wong Hing Fan. Then there is A Guinness Concence by director Jack Ng.

In addition, other Hong Kong films that are present in Balinale 2023 are Vital Sign by director Vincci Cheuk, Mad Fate by director Soi Cheang, and Philip Yung present through his work, Where the Wind Blows.
