Isak Cries Accompanying The Funeral Of Actor Iqbal Pakulu At The Menteng Pulo TPU

JAKARTA - The funeral of soap opera actor Iqbal Pakula at the Menteng Pulo Public Cemetery (TPU), South Jakarta on Tuesday afternoon at 13.00 was marked by a sad atmosphere.

Before entering the burial area, Iqbal's body, who was still on the coffin, was seen being carried by several people before finally being put into the grave.

Iqbal breathed his last on Tuesday morning at 02.32 at Siloam Semanggi Hospital, South Jakarta. Before being buried, Iqbal's body was buried at a funeral home in the Jatibening area, Bekasi. Iqbal died at the age of 46.

Iqbal's wife, Handis Kardinah Reswari or known as Andiez La'Nuite, could not hold back tears when her husband's body was put into the grave. Several fellow artists such as Dude Herlino, Beby Romeo, Meisya Siregar, Teuku Wisnu, Mona Ratuliu, and Bemby Putuanda were seen attending Iqbal's funeral.

Andiez revealed that Iqbal's death was a heart disease he suffered. "(The cause of death) was a heart, so his heart relapsed because he had a history of heart disease," Andiez said. He added that Iqbal had been suffering from heart disease since November last year.

Iqbal's heart ring has been installed and his health has improved but his condition worsened again, causing him to be critical and had to be hospitalized intensively since Saturday 22 April.

Andiez said that before he died, Iqbal really wanted to meet his only son because during his treatment he had not had time to meet his son.

"He (Iqbal) really wanted to meet his son because he had been sick for about two months and didn't see his son, and the last time he wanted to meet at the hospital he wasn't allowed to enter," said Andiez.

Andiez hopes for the best prayers from Iqbal's fans for her husband's body. "Please pray for Mr. Iqbal, hopefully his grave will be opened, forgive all his mistakes, and all his sins will be forgiven," said Andiez.

A series of soap opera titles that had starred Iqbal Pakula included "Cinta Fitri" to "Bubur Reservoir Naik Haji the Series".
