Get 9 Hectare BLBI Land, Police Will Build Bhayangkara Hospital In Bekasi

The Indonesian National Police (Polri) is known to have obtained the right to determine the status of use (PSP) from the government on land for the former BLBI covering an area of 90,000 square meters (9 hectares) in Bekasi City. This information emerged in a press conference of the BLBI Task Force in Jakarta, Tuesday, May 6.

According to the Minister of Finance (Menkeu), Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Polri must be able to build and optimize the assets received.

"Later I want to see the Bhayangkara Hospital (RS). Earlier, the National Police Chief said he wanted to build. I'm sure it will be among the best hospitals in Indonesia," said the Minister of Finance.

The Minister of Finance revealed that this could be a separate motivation for other agencies to be able to take advantage of state assets in the best possible way.

"Later, if the Police have a good hospital, it is hoped that the TNI can too. Then universities can also be good (in utilizing state assets), which is clear everything must be good," he said.

Based on the documents obtained by VOI, the Indonesian Police Agency received a plot of land in Bekasi City covering an area of 9 hectares with an estimated value of Rp449.1 billion. In addition, the National Police was also recorded to have received PSP for six other assets in various regions worth Rp177.5 billion.

Meanwhile, the allocation of these assets includes the storage of evidence in Palembang, the offices of the Bogor Police Headquarters, the West Java HR Training Center, and the official residence of the Riau Islands Police Chief.
