Entering the third week of May 2023, the Food SOE Holding ID FOOD has held Government Food Assistance for Handling Stunting in 7 regions from seven distribution targets.

President Director of ID FOOD, Frans Marganda Tambunan said as of May 21, 2023, Government Food Assistance for Stunting Handling had been distributed completely to 7 distribution areas, including Banten, West Java, Central Java, East Java, North Sumatra, West Sulawesi and NTT.

The details of the realization figures for the 7 regions are as follows:

Banten 56,504 KRS (87.3 percent), West Java: 378,111 KRS (92.1 percent), Central Java: 319,310 KRS (99.0 percent), East Java: 269,873 KRS (72.0 percent), North Sumatra: 56,286 KRS (40.4 percent), East Nusa Tenggara 3283 (2.9 percent), and West Sulawesi 1145 (5.6 percent). Thus, the realization figure of stunting food assistance achieved by ID FOOD reached 1,084,512 Stunting Risk Families (KRS) (75.0 percent).

Thus, until the third week of May, it was known that 7 provinces or regions had been completed, including West Sulawesi and East Nusa Tenggara.

"Starting this fourth week of May and beyond, we will pursue the realization of distribution in the seven provinces according to the number of KRS and the deadline set by the National Food Agency (Bapanas)," said Frans in his official statement, Tuesday, May 23.

Frans said that government assistance for stunting management will be distributed for the next three months starting April, May and June 2023, with a target recipient of 1.4 million (Every Period) of the Stunting Risk Family (KRS) based on BKKBN data.

Evaluation, continued Frans, continues, including intense coordination with all stakeholders involved in field distribution activities such as Berdikari, Rajawali Nusindo, PT POS, BKKBN, Bapanas, the Food Task Force and the local government.

For information, Government Assistance for Stunting Risk Families (KRS) implemented by ID FOOD is actually an inseparable part of Presidential Decree 125/2022 concerning Government Food Reserves (CPP).

In carrying out the distribution of government assistance for stunting management, ID FOOD together with PT Berdikari and PT Rajawali Nusindo are two companies that are subsidiaries of ID FOOD. PT Berdikari provides eggs and chicken meat while PT Rajawali Nusindo provides Goody Bag. The PT Pos is the transporter.

Deputy for Advocacy for Mobilization and Information of BKKBN Sukaryo Teguh Santoso appreciated the support of various parties in joint efforts to eradicate stunting.

Pos Indonesia which distributes egg and chicken aid so that it can reach stunting risk families. Head of the National Food Agency Arief Prasetyo Adi ensured that his party would continue to encourage the Food SOE Holding ID FOOD to accelerate the distribution of aid, so that the first stage could be completed immediately and could immediately enter the second and third stages.

The acceleration of distribution is very important. Because with the faster and more intense distribution, the opportunity to intervene in balance and stability of egg and chicken prices at the consumer level is getting bigger," he said.

For the accelerated distribution steps that will be taken, Arief said, among other things, through increasing the facilitation of egg and chicken stock distribution from production centers to provinces or areas with limited stock.

"In addition, we also ask ID FOOD to add and increase partnership cooperation with small independent breeders so that stock distribution is safe and distribution through PT POS can be accelerated," he said.

Furthermore, Arief admitted, in addition to accelerating distribution, supervision is also a priority. The reason is, good supervision will greatly support the smooth running of this program.

"Currently we are assigning the leadership of Echelon 1 and 2 of the National Food Agency routinely and alternately to the regions to monitor and ensure food assistance, both egg and chicken meat assistance as well as rice assistance, arriving on time and on target. We also ask for the support of the National Police Food Task Force and local governments in terms of supervision in the field. We are open to every input and report for improvement, "he said.
