Good News, Patients Recovered From COVID-19 In DIY Added 1,150 People

JAKARTA - The Yogyakarta Special Region Government recorded the number of patients who recovered from COVID-19 in the region on Tuesday, July 20, increased by 1,150, bringing the total to 64,913 people.

"An additional 1,150 cases have recovered," said Spokesperson for the DIY Regional Government for Handling COVID-19 Berty Murtiningsih in an official statement in Yogyakarta, reported by Antara, Tuesday, July 20.

She said based on the area of domicile, the 244 recovered patients consisted of one case from Yogyakarta City, 264 cases from Bantul Regency, 104 cases from Kulon Progo, 227 cases from Gunung Kidul, and 311 cases from Sleman Regency.

However, Berty said the additional positive confirmed patients still reached 1,872 people, bringing the number of positive COVID-19 cases in Yogyakarta to 95,948 cases.

Based on the domicile area, the 1,872 positive patients consisted of 436 cases from Yogyakarta City, 561 cases from Bantul Regency, 244 cases from Kulon Progo, 380 cases from Sleman, and 251 cases from Gunung Kidul.

Referring to the case history, he said, it consisted of 154 self-examination cases, 1,682 cases of contact tracing results, two cases of health employee screening results, and 34 cases still under investigation.

The additional cases on Tuesday came from the results of laboratory examinations in Yogyakarta on 8,078 specimen samples from 8,056 people.

She also noted the addition of 70 cases of death, bringing the total number of deaths to 2,508 cases.

Based on data from referral hospitals, a total of 61,199 COVID-19 suspects were recorded. Of the number of suspects, 27,967 people were confirmed positive, of which 22,049 people recovered and 682 people died.

The total number of critical isolation beds available in DIY is 304 units, currently, 273 units are used (BOR 88.80 percent), while the available non-critical beds 1,462 units have been used by 1,319 units (BOR 90.21 percent).
