中国はマカッサルMNEK演習に2隻の軍艦を配備

JAKARTA - The Indonesian People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy sent two fleets of warships to participate in the 2023 Naval Exercise Komodo (MNEK) training in the Makassar Strait, South Sulawesi.

China's Central Military Commission (CMC) on its official website, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 6, said the two PLA warships were the destroyer of the Zhanjiang missile and the Xuchang frigate that had arrived in the waters of the Makassar Strait on Sunday (4/6).

The two ships participated in search and rescue exercises, maritime intercepts, control, aerial photos, and others in the Makassar Strait.

In addition to joint training with the navy from various countries, Chinese Navy troops will take part in maritime exhibitions, medical services for civilians, civil technical programs, and exchange views between MNEK 2023 participants.

The Chinese Navy forces will also exchange views on the military and culture with other participants to increase mutual understanding, trust each other, and practical cooperation.

MNEK is a non-commissioned exercise by prioritizing maritime cooperation, disaster management, and humanitarian operations.

CMC welcomes the biennial activities held by the TNI-AL since 2014.

This year is the fourth time the TNI-AL has held the exercise.
