Judicial Commission Extends Registration Limits For Candidates For Supreme Court Justices And Ad Hoc HAM Judges In The Supreme Court
The Judicial Commission has extended the registration period for candidates for Supreme Court justices and candidates for ad hoc judges on Human Rights (HAM) at the Supreme Court (MA), which originally ended Monday to Wednesday, June 7."The Judicial Commission has extended the deadline for accepting candidates for Supreme Court justices and registering candidates for ad hoc HAM judges in the Supreme Court, which originally ended on May 29, 2023, to June 7, 2023," said KY member as Head of Recruitment for Judges Siti Nurdjanah when confirmed by ANTARA from Jakarta, Tuesday, May 31.Nurdjanah revealed that this registration extension is in order to provide wider opportunities for the community to register.Since the registration for the selection of candidates for Supreme Court justices and candidates for ad hoc human rights judges in the Supreme Court was opened, it was recorded that until May 29, 2023 (16.00 WIB), KY has received 57 candidates for Supreme Court justices and 22 candidates for ad hoc human rights judges in the Supreme Court who have completed their data online."It is recorded that there are 168 people who have registered online for candidates for Supreme Court justices. However, KY has just received 57 confirmation registrants for candidates for Supreme Court justices," said Nurdjanah.He detailed that the candidates for Supreme Court justices based on the type of room chosen, as many as 42 people chose the Criminal Chamber, 9 people chose the Civil Room, and 6 people chose the Special State Administrative Room for Taxation.Based on gender, 51 men and 6 women were dominated. Meanwhile, based on the type of education, Nurdjanah said there were 20 people with master's degrees and 37 people with doctoral degrees."Based on professions, there are 34 judges, 9 academics, 2 lawyers, 1 notary, and 11 other professions," said Nurdjanah.Meanwhile, candidates for ad hoc human rights judges in the Supreme Court are dominated by 21 men and 1 woman. Based on the type of education consisting of 4 undergraduates, 9 masters, and 9 doctors.
"Registrants for ad hoc HAM judges in the Supreme Court have 7 academic professions, 7 lawyers, and 8 other professions," said Nurdjanah.
