U-23 Asian Cup Qualification Draw Results: Indonesia Enters Group K, Avoided From Tough Opponents

JAKARTA - The 2023 U-23 Asian Cup qualifying draw will be held on Thursday, May 25 at noon WIB. Based on the draw results, the U-23 Indonesian national team was lucky to avoid tough opponents.

Taking place at the AFC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as a draw puts Indonesia in Group K along with Taiwan and Turkmenistan.

The U-23 Asian Cup will begin with the qualifying round which will take place from September 4-12. The agenda will be followed by 43 AFC member team countries.

After the qualifying round is complete, the tournament will enter the final round which will take place from April 14 to May 2, 2024 with Qatar as the main location for the event.

During the qualifying round there were 10 countries appointed as hosts. Indonesia is one of them following Bahrain, China, Jordan, South Korea, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

The qualifying round is held to get 11 group winners who will qualify automatically, while the other four teams will be contested through the best second place.
