PT Surveyor Indonesia Verifies Government Assistance To Purchase Two-wheeled KBLBB
JAKARTA - PT Surveyor Indonesia (PTSI) noted that there are still minimal enthusiasts in the electricity motorcycle subsidy program in Indonesia. PTSI noted that only 114 potential consumers were approved to shop for electric motorbikes through a government subsidy program of IDR 7 million per unit.
"Until today, 112 motorbikes, whose consumers we verify and comply with the criteria, are just waiting for the STNK process. Two STNKs have been issued, but in principle 114 (buyers) have been approved to participate in the assistance program," said PTSI Commercial Director Saifuddin Wijaya, in his statement, Tuesday, May 23.
This figure is far from the quota launched by the government regarding this program as an effort to accelerate the transition period while increasing the population of electric vehicles in Indonesia. As of December 31, the government is targeting the electricity motor subsidy quota to reach 200 thousand units.
"Two hundred thousand quota targets, now only 114. I hope there will be a process of acceleration or an increase that is more exponential with easier information. Indeed, it needs a kind of massive socialization to this program. When asked when (the target is achieved)? I also don't know, hopefully it will be absorbed this year 200 thousand," he explained.
Not all people can enjoy incentives for electric motorbikes from the government. Saifuddin said that there are four criteria that are entitled to receive the assistance, namely recipients of wage subsidy assistance (BSU), productive assistance for micro enterprises (BPUM), recipients of People's Business Credit (KUR), and recipients of electricity subsidies 450-900 VA.
Even so, he emphasized that the application process for incentives is very easy. The people who are included in the category of beneficiaries are enough to register with verified dealers by only showing a Population Identification Number (NIK). Currently, said Saifuddin, there are 226 dealers who have officially sold electric motorbikes from ten manufacturers that have met the criteria from the Ministry of Industry.

One of the criteria for electric motorcycle manufacturers is that it must meet the use of the domestic component level (TKDN) in its production at least 40 percent.
"The difference is that if you buy a regular motorbike here there is a first check whether this consumer is included in the required criteria. The process is fast and easy, not complicated. Indeed, many consumers are not included in the four criteria. Because this is government assistance, this criterion must still be met," said Saifuddin.
From the results of government verification, 10 electric motorcycle companies have been determined with 18 models that can be involved in the program. Then the number of dealers involved in this program is 226 outlets. The remaining 111 outlets have not registered because information on the program is still constrained by APM to dealers.
