G7ゼレンスキーが日本に到着すると、ロシアに制裁を課す
JAKARTA - The leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) announced further sanctions against Russia as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Japan, Saturday, to join the summit of the leaders of the rich nation's group.
In a statement issued from Hiroshima, where the G-7 summit began on Friday (19/5), leaders reaffirmed their commitment to stand together against Russia and support Ukraine as long as necessary.
"We impose more sanctions and measures to increase costs for Russia and those who support its war efforts. And we are taking steps to support partners around the world as they cope with the suffering caused by the Russian war, including through humanitarian aid," the leaders said in a joint statement published on the G7 website. quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, May 20.
Expressing their sympathy and condolences to the Ukrainian people for their loss and suffering, the leaders said their support for Ukraine would not waver.
"We will not tire of our commitment to reduce the impact of Russia's illegal actions around the world," he said.
Further leaders say they are taking new steps against Moscow to ensure Russia can no longer arm the availability of energy against the world.
Expressing their satisfaction with launching price limits on Russian oil and petroleum products, they said: "This worked."
"Russian revenue is down. World oil and gas prices are down significantly, benefiting countries around the world."

They also issued warnings to countries supporting Russia in the war.
"We will strengthen our coordination to prevent and respond to third parties supplying weapons to Russia and continue to take action against third-state actors who materially support Russia's war," the group said in a statement.
