Bobby Nasution Offers Investment In North Medan Area To ASEAN Investors
The Mayor of Medan, North Sumatra, Bobby Nasution will offer the northern part of the city of Medan to investors from the Association of Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN).
"We hope that through the ASEAN Summit, we can directly cooperate with investors from ASEAN member countries," Bobby said in Medan as reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 8.
Currently, Bobby explained, many sectors can be used as business opportunities, especially in northern Medan which consists of four sub-districts, namely Medan Deli, Medan Labuhan, Medan Marelan and Medan Belawan.
Among them, the development of the seaside city using Siombak Lake in Medan Marelan is an integrated area to integrate parks, recreational rides, water sports, and shopping centers.
Then mangrove land in Belawan Sicanang, Belawan 1, Belawan 2 and Belawan Bahagia in Medan Belawan became residential and trade areas.
Then the southern part of Belawan Port that has not been utilized, the construction of the creative economy center in Belawan collaboration village, and Belawan industrial area.
"The more people who invest, of course, the more jobs will be created and the lower the number of open unemployment in Medan City," said Bobby.
The Mayor of Medan appreciates all micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as well as investors who have invested, thus driving the economy in the city of Medan.

Data from the Medan City One Stop Service Investment Service in 2022 states that there are 229 investments entering the city of Medan, and 1,908 domestic investment projects.
For the national scale, the number of MSME actors as much as 64.19 million has contributed to gross domestic product (GDP) of around 61.97 percent, and the Medan City scale of 38 thousand more MSMEs contributing to gross regional domestic product (GDP) of around 28.59 percent.
