Nissan Launches KAIT SUV For Brazilian Market, Take A Peek At Specifications
JAKARTA - Nissan has introduced a compact Kait SUV in Brazil, which will face rivals Volkswagen Tera, Hyundai Creta, Fiat Pulse, Chevrolet Tracker, and Renault Kardian. Production has begun at the Nissan facility in Resende, Brazil.
Later Nissan Kait will be exported to more than 20 markets, especially in South America. So how interesting is this model?
Latin American Nissan president Guy Rodr Goodguez said the Nissan Kait project stems from Nissan's global experience in developing an SUV that integrates solutions to meet Latin American consumer needs, strengthening the company's participation in this growing and very competitive segment.
"We are proud to produce and commercialize this vehicle for the first time in Brazil and Latin America, and I believe it will be adopted by our customers in our region by inheriting key elements of resilience, reliability, and quality from our best-selling platform," he said, quoted from his official website.

Nissan Kait will be positioned as the brand's new entry-level SUV. In terms of a very modern design display, let alone already equipped with sharper separate LED headlights, dynamic LED DRLs, prominent lattices with horizontal blades, and wide air bars at the bottom. Side profiles are mostly the same as Kicks Play. However, a new set of sportsier rims enhance the appearance and overall feel of the SUV.
On the back, Nissan Kait has an updated profile, featuring sharper rearlight in a connected format. Nissan has used a baggage cap, the main visual real estate at the back, to display KAIT letters. With this change, the number plate has shifted to the bumper.
In dimensions, Nissan Kait is only mostly the same size as Kicks Play. Kait is 4,304 mm long, 1,760 mm wide, 1,611 mm high and 2.620 mm wheeled. A total of six color choices are available with Nissan Kait.
Powertrain for Nissan Kait is the same as Kicks Play. This SUV is supported by 1.6 liters with a power output of 113 torque hp of 149 Nm each. The engine is paired with CVT transmission.
