5 Big Changes To Apple's Photos Application

JAKARTA Apple released iOS 18.2 on December 11 with various improvements, one of which is a design change in the Photos application. Thanks to this version, the Photos application is getting better than before.

There are five major changes that Apple adds to the Photos app via iOS 18.2. These five changes include interface design, auto-repetitive video settings, sliding ability to come back, and much more.

On iOS 18.1, Apple is controversial for changing the Photos interface. If users want to see the full screen video display, they have to tap on the screen first. This change was heavily criticized so that Apple changed its interface again.

When playing videos, the Photos app will automatically display videos in full screens. Users will also not see any strange effects when they enlarge or minimize the screen.

Next, Apple added a setting to stop recurrent video playback. If users want to have a normal video view, they can open Settings, click the Photos menu, then disable Loop Videos.

Apple also adopts one of the capabilities that usually only exist on Android devices. If previously users had to press the Back button to get out of the app, now they can go straight out just by sliding the screen to the right or left.

The next change added to the Photos app is a more detailed video editing. IPhone users can empty each frame to remove video parts that are considered annoying.

Finally, the company presents the ability to clear activity history in the Photos application. Users who want to get rid of New View and New Distributed history can press the three-dot menu on the album in the upper right corner.
