JAKARTA Since its release last year, Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses have become popular because of their very clear camera. These glasses are also popular because of the features available in them, one of which is Meta AI.

This device can interact with its users because of Artificial Intelligence (AI) support, notify and read notifications received by its users, broadcast live on Instagram quickly, and much more.

Although this device is quite sophisticated, Meta doesn't seem satisfied. The reason is, based on the Financial Times report, Meta will add a screen to the smart glasses. This new capability will be available as early as next year.

It is not yet known why this screen was added to Ray-Ban Meta's smart glasses. However, according to those familiar with the matter, Meta wants to display notifications or responses from its virtual assistants visually.

This is a very interesting idea because smart glasses are much easier to use than virtual reality headsets (VRs) like Quest or Vision Pro. If developed, this screen may be able to operate future applications.

In early development, this screen may be small and unregulated, such as the VR headset screen. If this screen is successfully developed, Ray-Ban smart glasses with a screen display are expected to be released in the second half of 2025.

Please note that the development of technology could not run smoothly. Although Meta has been targeting an updated launch schedule for Ray-Ban smart glasses, this schedule could experience changes at any time.
