Live Shopee Feature Increases MSME Sales To 1 Billion Products

JAKARTA - Various Shopee innovations to foster love for local products recorded positive results. Throughout 2024, sales of local products on the Shopee Pilih Lokal channel jumped more than 200 percent compared to the previous year.

"Innovation is the key so that it can continue to be relevant, maintain trust, and can continue to grow. From this understanding, we as an e-commerce platform are also trying to create new innovations; ranging from programs, features, and initiatives that support our entire ecosystem to be able to innovate and create many positive impacts together," said Shopee Indonesia Executive Director Christin Djuarto.

Not only that, several Shopee programs and features also showed positive results. For example, the 12.12 Birthday Sale campaign program managed to help increase sales of local products and MSMEs by up to 7 times at the peak of the campaign compared to normal days.

Interactive content such as video and live streaming is also a driver of innovation. Shopee Live features, which can be used by sellers and Creators for live streaming sessions, have been watched as many as 735 million hours throughout 2024.

In 2024, Shopee Live also recorded an increase in the number of Creator Content by 50% more than the previous year, opening up opportunities for anyone to realize their dreams through Shopee.

This increase also had a positive impact on sales of MSME products, which in total had sold more than 1 billion MSME products through Shopee Live.

Not only innovation for the shopping experience of buyers, Shopee also supports Islamic lifestyle needs through the AI-Quran and Qibla features available on the Shopee Barokah channel and have been used more than 25 million times by 2024.
