Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, was hospitalized in Mexico on Wednesday, November 8 for a possible stroke. This was reported by Mexican media. However, a TMZ report citing sources stated that the illness may be a less serious vertigo attack.

The 73-year-old scientist and tech entrepreneur was supposed to participate in the World Business Forum in the Santa Fe area of the Mexican capital on Wednesday.

The event organizers have not yet responded to a request for comment. Wozniak was supposed to speak at the conference at 16.20 local time.

The media have not been able to immediately confirm reports that Wozniak has been hospitalized.

US media, TMZ, citing sources with direct knowledge, reported that Wozniak finished his speech but later told his wife he was "strange". His wife reportedly insisted he had to go to the hospital.

The TMZ report said that Wozniak might have had a vertigo attack.

In 1976, Wozniak founded Apple's computer company along with its more famous business partner, Steve Jobs, a leading investor and CEO of Apple who died in 2011.

Their business is a pioneer in personal computing and becoming the largest company in the world, known for the design and functionality of various consumer electronics, including laptop and desktop computers, as well as iPhone phones.

Individuals associated with the Wozniak website, woz.org, have not responded to requests for comment from the media.
