JAKARTA - Lendingpot, a digital loan platform, which has been running for four years in Singapore is now present in Indonesia to help Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Seeing the problem of accessing funding at 74 percent of businesses and SMEs, Lendingpot will connect business people with lenders or lenders, both banks and non-banks.

Lendingpot will help borrowers choose lenders and avoid them from a time-consuming borrowing process. In fact, the entire process on the platform only takes a few minutes.

"We can summarize (the entire loan application process) within five minutes," said Head of Commercial Lendingpot, Jonathan Surya at the press launch event Tuesday, October 24.

Jonathan explained that customers will go through five processes, starting from registration via online application, submission of required documents, customer calls for consultation, filtering, and coordination with lenders.

Despite trying to make it easier for customers, Jonathan stressed that his platform will provide similar guarantees to lenders through screening.

"We hope that we can help our financial institution partners, as well as in traditional fields, fintech, online loans in order to get more appropriate customers," he explained.

With just one platform, Lendingpot can present various lenders, various forms of loans, to maintain customer privacy and security based on the Data Protection Act.

Meanwhile, Head of Lendingpot Business Benjamin Lam explained that all documents submitted by customers would be extracted from the application. All of these documents cover various needs of loan providers, one of which is proof of customer income.

However, when the lender cannot adjust the needs of the customer's funds, the platform will filter and show lensers that are in accordance with the user's abilities.

With this policy, Lendingpot believes that both parties will benefit. Customers can make loans according to their abilities and needs, while lenders provide funds to the right customers.
