Meta Is Testing Features To Embed Messages On WhatsApp

JAKARTA - Meta is reportedly testing the message feature embedded on WhatsApp, via a WhatsApp beta update for its latest version of Android which is 2.23.21.4.

Found for the first time by WABetainfo, it seems that currently WhatsApp has rolled out this new feature to a limited beta tester group only.

Based on shared screenshots, the ability to pin this new message is visible in the message option after installing the latest app update.

This option allows users to embed messages to the top of the conversation, making it easier for users to highlight and access important messages or those that are often referred quickly.

With the ability to embed messages, users get control over how long the message will be displayed on the mere chat. You can choose one of three different lengths, namely 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days.

However, this embedded message can be closed at any time, even before the selected duration ends. It should be noted that embedded messages are also available in individual conversations, making it easier to highlight certain content even in private chats.

In addition, several beta testers also revealed a redesigned chat attachment menu and displayed a more modern style.

It is important to note that since these features are currently available to a limited group of beta testers, it may be necessary moments before the feature is available for a wider audience.

A pin-mounted messaging feature and redesigned chat sharing sheet are available to a group of limited beta testers who are installing the latest WhatsApp beta update for Android from the Google Play Store, and may launch to more people in the coming weeks.
