Animoca Brands Will Create A Metaverse Token On Bitcoin Network

JAKARTA - Darewise Entertainment, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, recently announced plans to launch the first metaverse token to operate on the Bitcoin blockchain. This step was taken to support the Bitcoin ecosystem in the context of games, brands, and real-world experiences.

This important announcement was made by Darewise at the Token2049 event in Singapore. They consider this metaverse token a significant step for Bitcoin, which will allow it to have a role more than just a value-saving asset, but also as an integral part of the cultural ecosystem.

This metaverse token will allow for a variety of features in games, virtual land ownership, and other elements for their metaverse project called Life Beyond. According to Yat Siu, co-founder and chief executive of Animoca Brands, Life Beyond represents expanding Bitcoin capabilities of interest.

He stated, "With the emergence of the Ordinary protocol, we are witnessing an important moment for Bitcoin for expanding its reach and introducing cultural concepts. High-quality games are one of the keys to mass adoption, and we are excited that our AAA studio, Darewise Entertainment, is working on this untouched opportunity."

In order to realize this project, Darewise Entertainment partnered with Horizen Labs, which has experience in supporting blockchain launches. Horizen Labs will provide the technical services needed to build important applications and tools that will advance the Ordinary ecosystem on the Bitcoin blockchain.

Benjamin Charbit, CEO of Darewise Entertainment, stated that they have just begun exploring the huge potential of Bitcoin. He explained, "To achieve that potential, we need to roll up our sleeves and build up, and that's at the heart of our partnership with Horizen Labs."

Going forward, Darewise Entertainment plans to announce the development of a new technology that will support Life Beyond and other metaverse projects. The goal is to ensure that the network has strong utility when this metaverse token is launched.
