JAKARTA - The Ministry of Education of El Salvador has collaborated with nonprofit Mi Primer Bitcoin (MPB) to introduce Bitcoin teaching in public schools in 2024.
The MPB diploma program was launched in 2022, with the first batch starting its Bitcoin education journey in May. The program was founded by American activist John Dennehy, with the support of President Nayib Bukele's government in support of Bitcoin.
The program will start on September 7 with 150 teachers from 75 schools. After training, the teachers will return to their schools and teach Bitcoin with a new curriculum. If this program is successful, it is planned to expand to all schools in this country.
