JAKARTA - Google is rolling out a variety of new home automation capabilities in the Home app for all users, as well as some features in script editors for those registered in the Public Preview.

Now, users can take action and start activities every day live with a new set of beginnings and actions available in the Automated tab on the Google Home app.

New startups and actions are available for the Domestic Routine feature. Users can prepare sensors including temperature, humidity, contact, and housing in the Google Home ecosystem and use them in automation.

The new action also includes, open or close the device, such as windows, doors and curtains. For example, if the user wants to open the curtain at 7 am, then at 10 pm, the user can close the curtain.

Users can also set actions to connect devices such as, vacuum cleaners, moisturizers, or lawnmowers whenever they want.

Software updates, such as on WiFi routers, can also be done, to help devices improve security and performance with this action by setting a software update schedule.

Additionally, script editors now support the start of camera events, special notifications, and preliminary emphasis.

Camera events include the detection of incoming packets, familiar facial detection, movement, and detection of pets. For example, when a cat is detected, users can play soothing music to help pets relax.

Users can also set Chromecast up with Google TV to play cat-friendly TV shows. There is also the ability to create special phone notifications and starter suppression, where TV only turns on when pets walk in front of the camera for the first time.

Google claims the New Home feature and script editors are starting today for Android, iOS, or web users, as quoted by The Verge, Tuesday, August 29.
