JAKARTA - Microsoft will add a new homepage in the Settings menu on Windows 11, making it easier for users to control everything they like.

The so-called interactive card offers users with dynamic and personal experiences, including various device-related settings and accounts, grouped by function that users often access. This feature has just rolled out on Windows Insiders on the Beta Channel.

"Each card is optimized to offer the most relevant information and controls on your finger. In this release, you will see up to seven cards, and more will be coming soon," Microsoft said in its announcement.

The personalized settings card, will adjust to the user's specific usage pattern, providing timely and relevant settings options.

There is also cloud storage, users will be presented with an overview of the use of cloud storage and notify them when the capacity is running low.

Then the account recovery card, helps keep the user's Microsoft account more secure by helping to add additional recovery information so that their account won't be locked, even if you forget the password.

On the personalization card, Microsoft brings customization to the surface by offering one-click access to update the background theme or change the color mode.

Then the Microsoft 365 card, which provides a glimpse into the status and benefits of the subscription, as well as the ability to take some important actions directly in Settings instead of opening the web.

Similar to the Microsoft 365 card, the user's Xbox card will be able to view the subscription status and manage the subscription from the Settings app.

To simplify the Bluetooth device management experience, Microsoft presents a quick way to access and connect to users' favorite Bluetooth-capable devices.

"What makes the veranda even more different is that it's more than just a take-off page, it's expanding and learning with you. When you use the device, the device will customize to provide the most relevant and useful information based on your use and preferences," Microsoft explained.

Another interesting feature that Microsoft will soon release is the Windows Backup application. First introduced last May, users can back up PCs when preparing to use a new one.

In addition to automatically implementing existing settings to new PCs, the app will also bring all embedded applications on desktop, Start menu, and taskbar.

Microsoft says it will not install this app automatically on a new PC, but provides shortcuts that connect users to the Microsoft Store or to the developer's website to reinstall it, as quoted by The Verge, Friday, August 25.
