JAKARTA - With a mission to raise awareness about the importance of women's role in the world of innovation and technology, Markoving (National Children's Creative Resources Foundation), Dian Sastrowardoyo Foundation, and Magnific Indonesia collaborate to launch the 2023 Innovation Women's Program.

Based on research from the Boston Consulting Group (2020), only about 22 percent of these women work in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

One of the main challenges faced by women in the STEM field is the lack of representation and role of a strong model, as well as gender stereotypes related to the ability and interest in the STEM sector.

Through this program, participants will have the opportunity to be equipped with skills relevant to industry to develop innovations to solve gender-related problems in their surrounding environment, for free.

"The 2023 Innovation Women's Program is expected not only to provide opportunities, but also to strengthen collaboration to inspire and realize the extraordinary potential that every woman has as a agents of change and driving gender equality," said Amanda Simandjuntak, Co-founder & CEO of Markoding in a statement.

Dian Sastrowardoyo hopes that women can get solutions related to women's and technology and gender issues that are often a barrier to maximizing their abilities in the professional realm.

The program stage starts from the registration of participants until August 23, 2023, followed by a web development and UI/UX class program until September 3, 2023, then tech boots from October 2023 to February 2024. The peak of the event will be held on Demo Day in March 2024.

In addition to launching the 2023 Women's Innovation program, Markoving, Dian Sastrowardoyo Foundation, and Magnifique Indonesia opened up opportunities for participants who wanted to participate in discussion forums related to innovation, by participating in talk shows and workshop sessions which lasted from 10.30 WIB to 17.30 WIB at Ganara Art, Plaza Indonesia.
