JAKARTA - Platform X has just confirmed there is a bug that caused its platform to partially delete images and links on older Tweets.

"Over the weekend we had a bug that prevented us from showing pictures from before 2014," X tweeted on the official @Support account.

Unfortunately, X did not explain the cause of the bug. However, the company confirmed that no images or data were missing from them.

"No images or data are missing. We are fixing the bug, and this problem will be resolved completely in the coming days," continued X.

As previously reported, this incident was first reported by X user Tom Coates last week, who showed Oscar host Ellen Degeneres uploading a selfie from the event, but the photo was missing from her account.

"By the way, in 2014 Ellen Degeneres posted a selfie from Oscar and became the most retweeted photo of all time. The photo is now missing from Twitter," said Tom Coates.

The old post was also accompanied by attached images or an amended hyperlink via an X-Based Unform Resource Locater (URL), t.co. Apparently, this change affected Tweets posted before December 2014, as quoted from Engadget and The Verge, Tuesday, August 22.
