JAKARTA - Qualcomm presents a new chipset for smartphones with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 tilted price, promising fast CPU speed, 5G connectivity, and other Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based features.

This new System on Chip (SoC) is equipped with a Kryo CPU that can reach a peak speed of up to 2.2 GHz for faster and smoother device performance.

In addition, screen support for 120 FPS FHD+ makes visuals stutter freely for action-packed and fast-rolling games.

Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 also includes Multi Camera Temporal Filtering (MCTF) technology for the first time in a low-end processor, which works on drastic noise reduction in video recording.

As well as the Qualcomm Spectra ISP, which supports simultaneous retrieval of multiple cameras with advanced features, including improved photography AI features that provide better low-luminosity performance, faster autofocus, electronic image stabilization, and significant noise reduction for photos and videos.

Processed in the 4nm node, making Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 a competitive SoC in terms of providing better energy performance and efficiency at the same time.

Quite brave for Qualcomm to present 4nm nodes on SoC for low-end phones, considering that the iPhone 14 already uses 3nm. This means that this Android phone with this chipset can be a medium of high-cost phones today.

The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 also carries a modern Snapdragon X61 5G modem embedded in the chipset, for fast 5G download speeds, supporting more networks, frequencies, and bandwidth globally.

To complement power efficiency, Qualcomm provides Quick Charge 4+ battery charging technology that can charge up to half of the battery in 15 minutes.
