JAKARTA - Microsoft and Snap have just announced the integration of several filters in Snapchat for Teams that are available globally, giving users more ways to express themselves.

According to the announcement, the company is bringing more than 20 of the most popular Snapchat Lenses to the app, letting users transform themselves into cats, or whatever they prefer.

"Starting this week, a collection of 20+ of the most popular Snapchat Lenses is available to Teams subscribers globally, giving you more ways to express yourself, build relationships, and make your meetings shine," Microsoft said in a blog post, quoted Tuesday, April 11.

With Snapchat Lenses, users can add Augmented Reality (AR) effects to video calls, bringing more lifelike human interaction to meetings.

AR will capture and process information about the physical environment and then overlay it with virtual objects and information, so users can see and experience the world in a different way.

"Because AR uses cameras, sensors, and screens already built into video conferencing, it fits perfectly with Teams," said Microsoft.

The company says that because the integration is direct, there is no need for users to download anything or add new apps to Teams.

Lenses will be slowly rolling out to everyone starting today. Most users will have access to Teams in the coming days.
