JAKARTA - Supporting the development of esports which is growing rapidly in Indonesia, KINCIR together with Moonton are holding the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang women's tournament, MLBB Women's Invitational 2023 in a hybrid manner.

Also supported by the Indonesian Esports Council (PBESI) and Samsung Electronics Indonesia, MWI 2023 is the second women's MLBB esports tournament from KINCIR which was previously held with the same name last year.

Deputy Chief Organizer of MLBB Women's Invitational 2023, Ginta Kamka in a press conference held on Monday, February 6 in the South Jakarta area, said that this tournament would become a place for ladies gamers in the world, especially in Indonesia, to show off.

"We want to support esports players to have careers in Indonesia. In addition, data is showing that 38% of game players are women. So we want to be a forum for women's achievements in the game industry and be equal to men", she said.

As the only parent organization for esports in Indonesia, PBESI provides full support for the continuation of this women's esports tournament.

"‌Women have enormous potential for the development of esports in the country. For that, ‌no matter what gender, everyone can access games. ‌PBESI also wants to become a centre for esports in the world. So, yes, we are very supportive", said the Special Staff of the Secretary General of PB Esports Indonesia (PBESI), Debora Imanuella.

PBESI also hopes that this tournament can inspire more female players out there to be confident in participating in existing esports competitions.

"Hopefully it can inspire many female players to take part in competitions. We continue to support female players who want to develop and compete, especially in MLBB Indonesia", she concluded.

MLBB Women's Invitational 2023 will be held from February 6-12 in a hybrid manner. Divided into three rounds, the group stage and playoffs will take place online. While the Grand Final round will be held offline on February 12 at Summarecon Mall Bekasi.
