JAKARTA - Google has finally released an update for its clock application, Google Clock, by adding a new feature that allows users to create custom alarm sounds.
Based on what Mishaal Rahman first discovered on Twitter, in the Google Clock 7.3 update, you can add a custom sound for your alarm.
This custom alarm sound is available for regular alarms as well as any stopwatch you set. With this feature, apart from being able to select music or sounds from the file application or spotify, you can also create your own ringtones.
The Google Clock app now lets you record your own audio to use as an alarm. This is rolling out to users on the existing 7.3 release via a server-side update.

However, a new option will appear in the "Your Sound" section with the "Record New" button now available in the app.
But sadly, according to Mishaal's note, this new functionality is apparently rolling out to Pixel owners via a server-side update to the Google Clock app. When VOI tried to download the latest version of Google Clock on another Android phone, we didn't see any of the new feature yet.
VOIR éGALEMENT:
However, there are some non-Pixel owners suggesting the update is also available on their device when running a custom ROM like Lineage OS.
When this feature is available on your device, then you just need to tap on the “record new” voice button, and then you will be taken to the Google Recorder app. After recording, the sound will appear with the time and date displayed in the Google Clock app as well as in the Google Recorder app.
Any custom alarm recordings you save within the Google Clock app can be deleted by tapping the three-dot kebab menu and pressing "Delete".
