THETA Crypto Get Upgraded 3.4.0

JAKARTA – Theta Labs, the developer behind THETA crypto, has successfully delivered the Theta v3.4.0 upgrade. The upgrade is intended to support wrapped Theta (wTHETA) as a TNT20 token. The upgrade was successfully carried out at block height 17285755.

This upgrade allows Theta to have a wTHETA twin token. The price will also be tied to the price of the original crypto, namely THETA. This is actually not much different from other cryptocurrencies such as wDOGE, wBTC, wETH, and so on.

Launching CryptoSlate, this upgrade is key to the launch of Theta Metachain, which is expected to take place in December 2022. The new version allows wTHETA to be transferred to Metamask wallets and other smart contracts. It also allows for staking THETA and Theta Fuel (TFUEL) to Guardian nodes and Elite Edge Nodes via smart contracts.

This announcement also includes a detailed guide on wTHETA and THETA versions. Token holders can switch from wTHETA to THETA in their crypto wallet.

To add the wTHETA token to the Metamask wallet, users only need to add the following token contract address: "0xaf537fb7e4c77c97403de94ce141b7edb9f7fcf0". Then the user can add wTHETA symbol with decimal token 18.

For your information, Theta Labs is a blockchain-based video distribution platform with a significant NFT community that includes names like Katy Perry and Sony. The protocol has expanded its partner ecosystem since the beginning of the year.

The popular show American Idol partnered with Theta Labs in August 2021 to launch a real-time NFT that would represent each contestant at that time. In the same month, One Championship also signed a partnership agreement with protocol to launch One's first NFT marketplace.

A month later, in August 2022, Samsung and Fuse Media partnered with the project. Samsung agreed with Theta to use its protocol to launch its Galaxy NFT. Fuse Media also agreed to work with Theta to launch Theta Mainchain.
