JAKARTA – Having large resources including servers and sophisticated technology does not make a social media platform safe from blackouts in their applications. This also happened to tech giant Meta, when Instagram experienced a blackout.
Instagram of Meta Platforms Inc announced on Thursday, September 22 that it has resolved an issue that caused a brief outage on its platform for some users the previous day.
And we’re back! We resolved the issue that caused today’s outage, and apologize for any inconvenience. https://t.co/2Av4sC4C5B

As many as 24.000 people reported difficulties accessing social networks, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.com.
Some users took to Twitter to share updates and memes about service disruptions, with #instagramdown trending as a hashtag on the social media site. Even the hashtag #InstagramDown had appeared and became trending. Luckily it only lasted five hours.
